Until I ran across the art of Chen Wenling, I never realized that there could be any artistic appeal to a bull spewing a mix of feces and methane from his anus so forcefully that it launches itself horns first into a half naked demon and crushes it against a wall with a velocity great enough to knock the demon’s shoe off. Michiriro Matsuoka is a sculptor that uses clay and acrylics to make really cool combinations of animals and technology that look as though they jumped out of some mad scientists wet dream. Whatever you happen to think about the genre itself, his steampunk inspired creatures have to pique your imagination and just make you think outside the box for a moment. | Read More
